Hundreds of women die every year due to complications during childbirth. A report by the U.N states that children born into poverty are almost twice as likely to die before the age of 5 {five} as those from wealthier families. Attaining the sustainable development goals as outlined by the U.N, would mean reducing infant mortality by two-thirds and maternal mortality by three-quarters. A target that appears impossible. We believe these figures should spur us to action.

BKF has launched programs to take action to ensure access to reproductive health services for expectant mothers in our communities. Benjamin Kalu Foundation has influenced the construction of Primary Health Centers, which have been set up in to provide quality antenatal care to pregnant women, paying attention to the particular needs of each mother.

There are still more locations in dire need of Health Centers which we are hoping to handle with your participation.
