The state of most schools in rural areas simply render them unfit for students to be learning in them. Dilapidated blocks of classrooms, inadequate books and furniture, lack of ICT services, unqualified teachers, lack of teaching aids and instructional materials in rural schools have made the learning processes in these schools fruitless. Children graduate from primary school and are unable to continue their education due to their consistent failure of the external examinations because of their faulty educational foundation.
In addition to modernizing and renovating dilapidated schools, we at Benjamin Kalu Foundation have decided to provide teaching aids and instructional materials to teachers and students in rural schools with the support of our partners. We ask that you donate books to our library to help it grow and to increase the vocabulary and mental capacity of the students.
